The Justice and Policy of the Late Act of Parliament, for Making More Effectual Provision for the Government of the Province of Quebec, Asserted and Proved; and the Conduct of Administration Respecting That Province, Stated and Vindicated

This is a 90-page pamphlet published in London in 1774, written anonymously by William Knox. It defends and argues for the legitimacy of the Quebec Act (14 Geo. III c. 83), a piece of British legislation aimed at improving the governance of the province of Quebec following British acquisition of the territory. Knox, a colonial administrator and political writer, used the work to make the case that the act was both just and prudent policy.
