- Arthur Lee (author)
- Jack P. Greene (collection editor)
The Political Detection; or, the Treachery and Tyranny of Administration, Both at Home and Abroad is a work by Arthur Lee, published under the pseudonym “Junius Americanus,” in which he presents a series of political letters condemning the perceived corruption and overreach of the British administration. Lee, a Virginia-born lawyer and colonial agent who was active in revolutionary-era politics, used the work to critique British governance both in the colonies and at home, aligning himself with the transatlantic radical Whig tradition.
