  • Kein’ Götter sollst du haben mehr,
  • Du sollt mir ganz vertrauen dich,
  • Von Herzengrund lieben mich.

• • 3Du sollt nicht brauchen zu Unehr’n
  • Den Namen Gottes, deines Herrn;
  • Du sollt nicht preisen recht noch gut,
  • Ohn’ was Gott selbst red’t und thut.

  • Dass du und dein Haus ruhen mag,
  • Du sollt von dei’m Thun lassen ab,

  • But open wide thy loving hand
  • To all the poor in the land.

  • Defend his innocence from blame,
  • With charity hide his shame.
