Honoré Daumier (1808-1879) was a French caricaturist who made fun of political and social issues from the 1830s to the 1870s. He is best known for his drawings of political figures, such as King Louis Philippe (whom he drew as a pear), the French bourgeoisie, and his savage works on Prussian militarism in the 1860s and 1870s.
