About the Author

An English polymath who wrote on topics as diverse as civil service reform and Icelandic history, translated Petrarch’s love poems, and wrote his own lyric poetry and dramas. One of his works is called A Hoosier Autobiography so one wonders if he has some connection with Indiana.
