Word Clouds for OLL Titles

We have created "word clouds" for a number of OLL titles. This is a graphical depiction of the most frequently used words in the text (in these examples the 50 most frequently used words) with the size of the word representing the frequency of its use. Word clouds can be useful in summarizing the content of a book so that one can, with one or two glances, get a sense of what is discussed in the text. The following titles have had word clouds generated for them as an experiment of the concept:

  • John Locke, Two Treatises of Government (1689)
  • John Stuart Mill, On Liberty (1859)
  • Ludwig von Mises, Liberalism: The Classical Tradition (1962)
