The Report on the abolition of slavery by a Commission which included Roger, Tocqueville, de Sade, de Rémusat, Cadeau-d’Arcy, Dugabé, Odilon Barrot, and de Panat. It was submitted to the Chamber of Deputies in July 1839 and conlcuded that “slavery could and should be abolished.”
