malthus to ricardo2

My dear Ricardo,

I am just arrived in Town in time for the post, and am happy to say that I have left my sister at home in Surrey, very much better, and indeed quite in a satisfactory state compared with what I feared. I shall set out by the coach which goes through Minchinhampton either tomorrow or friday evening according to circumstances, and hope therefore to see you either thursday or saturday. I shall take the chance of finding you at home if I can start tomorrow, but for fear you should be otherwise engaged it might be worth while just to give me one line which I should receive if I do not leave Town till friday. Direct to me 57. Great Russel Street. The Bell rings

Ever truly Yours

T RobT Malthus.
