[Reply to 9]

Dear Sir,

I shall be most happy to see you on saturday.2 On account of the arrival of a sister in Town sooner than I expected, I am obliged to go to London tomorrow, but I shall be back on saturday by five o’clock when I hope to have the pleasure of meeting you. Should any thing happen to prevent your coming, pray have the goodness to write me a line by the twopenny post directed to Bedford Coffee House, Southhampton Row Russel Square. In that case, which I hope however will not happen, perhaps you could arrange a breakfast with Mr. Sharpe3 on saturday morning and let me know on friday evening.

I confess I cannot yet conceive that redundancy of currency is the sole motive for contracting a debt, but we will discuss this point when we meet.

I am dear Sir Sincerely Yours

T RobtMalthus.
