Dear Sir

For these several weeks past I have been looking for a letter from you by every Post, in answer to the last I wrote you.1 I see that you have executed my commissions, as I have received the thanks of some of the persons to whom I had begged the favour of you to send copies. To those which in my former letter I desired you to deliver as presents from the Authour I must beg the favour of you to add four more: one to Lord Shelburne; and three to the Marquis de Bombelles; one to the Marquis himself; one to the Duke of Rochefoucault; and one to the Dutchess Chabot, the Sister of the Duke of Rochefoucault and the Daughter of the Dutchess D’Anville. My Lord Shelburne will be so good as to deliver the three copies to the Marquis de Bombelles, who will be so good as to deliver at Paris the two copies for the Duke of Rochefoucault and the Dutchess Chabot.
