OF APOSTASY.

Article II.

R. It does not belong to the Church to punish unbelief in those who have never received the faith; according to the saying of the Apostle:1 “What have I to do to judge them that are without?” But the infidelity of them who have received the faith is amenable to her sentence and punishment.
