DAVIS

DAVIS, Henry Winter, was born at Annapolis, Md., Aug. 16, 1817, and died at Baltimore, Md., Dec. 20, 1865. He was a representative in congress 1855-61 and 1863-5. (See REPUBLICAN PARTY.) He was a speaker of uncommon force, and was one of the leaders of the radical wing of his party.
