Condy Raguet1784 - 1842![]() About the AuthorCondy Raguet (1784-1842) was born in Philadelphia of French parents. He was elected to Congress in the Federalist Party but after the Panic of 1819 became increasingly in favor of sound banking and free trade. He served as Consul to Brazil under President Monroe.
