The prophets of the Old Testament are commonly divided between the minor prophets) such as Hosea, Amos, and Micah, and the major prophets such as Isaiah and Jeremiah. Prophets are often regarded as “seers” who are able to speak directly to God, hear his message, and deliver this message to others.
